Rangers set up a delicious second half of the season with a rousing performance to claim their first win against a Celtic side managed by Brendan Rodgers at the 13th attempt. He had previously recorded 10 wins and two draws in the derby since his appointment in May 2016, but Steven Gerrard, his former Liverpool captain, exacted revenge for September’s 1-0 defeat at Celtic Park to pull level on 42 points at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.
